ready to ebb and flow?

Hydroponics is defined as a subset of hydroculture, a method of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions, in water, without soil. We’re looking to grow plants without actually having to plant them in the ground!

Why start growing with hydroponics?

  • Faster Growth. This efficiency results in 20% quicker yields vs soil.

  • Bigger Yields. 20 - 25% more yield vs. soil growing.

  • No Soil. Skip the cost and accessibility challenges.

  • Space Saving. Roots don't need to spread out in soil to get the nutrition they need, it surrounds them, and plants can be closer together.

  • Water Saving. Utilizing a Reservoir with a cover helps to prevent evaporation and plants take up exactly what they need with ebb and flow. Water savings can be found in the upwards of 90%.

  • No Weeds. Save time by avoiding this task.

  • Less Diseases and Pests. None of the soil-borne disease and pest that can normally wreak havoc.

make it your way

While there are many elemental factors at play: temperature, humidity, light, plant variety, grow medium, drainage, aeration, etc.; selecting the right set up for your space can contribute to maximizing your space and grow goals. Outlined below is an overview of the equipment to get growing hydroponically:

DEEP WATER CULTURE

In a deep water culture or DWC system the roots of your plants are fully submerged in a water and nutrient solution. The water and nutrient solution is aerated to give your roots oxygen, so the plant can maintain constant and steady growth.

DRIP SYSTEMS

With a drip hydroponic system, due to its localized application, fertilizer and nutrient loss is minimized, soil erosion is reduced, water distribution is uniform, and foliage remains dry, reducing the risk of disease.
